Breakfast at The Real Eating Company

Breakfast at The Real Eating Company.

Saturday morning started early for me last weekend. I arrived in the town centre ready to meet the Bournemouth Bloggers for breakfast. I can honestly say I have never been into Bournemouth that early in fact I normally try and avoid the rush hour traffic whenever possible.

However, the roads were quiet and I arrived early ( yes, me, early!) and boy was it worth the effort. Besides meeting this lovely bunch of bloggers the breakfast really was a quality affair. Situated in a beautifully converted Victorian building just off one of the main shopping streets you will find this great little cafe, perfect for a catch up with friends a business meeting or just some seriously good food. It is a little hidden but once you find it you will definitely go back again.

It is clear from the menu that this independent group of cafes provide something different from the norm. All the croissants and frittatas are baked in house and the sandwiches are made fresh each day from scratch. Fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily, eggs are free range and the coffee is roasted by a local company and packaged especially for the group. As a real foodie it is great to see that time has been taken to source quality products and support local businesses where possible.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff and Helena Hudson (the founder of the group) who had kindly taken time out of her busy schedule to meet with us, and give us a little bit of background into her group. This little video gives you an insight into how its grown since its inception, a real inspiration for women in business.

We started, as every good morning should, a delicious coffee, plenty of fresh juice and a selection of pastries.

Then for the breakfast favourites, a full english! Actually, I went for the half english which was more than enough for me, with eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and toast, all just beautifully cooked. Next time I visit I'm going for the Eggs Benedict though it looked incredible.

An extra bit of good news is that the breakfast menu is served all day up until 5pm, so why restrict yourself to breakfast in the morning.

Bournemouth is expecting huge numbers of hungry visitors to the town for the Bournemouth Air Festival from 30th August - 2nd September so The Real Eating Co will be serving a bottomless brunch with unlimited tea, coffee and juice with any breakfast dish for £10. Believe me if you eat here it will keep you going all day long.

Thank you The Real Eating Company and of course Helena we had a fab time and we will be back!

All food and drink were complimentary, all opinions and photographs are my own.
