Christchurch wedding/event space

Last Friday night I attended the launch of the newly refurbished event space,

The Priory, attached to the Kings Arms in Christchurch. I am a regular at The Kings

Arms especially for their Sunday lunch, it really is very good.

Anyway I digress, The Priory is a building attached to the main hotel and caters for weddings and events. Throughout the launch evening we were offered a selection of canapés and a welcome drink of Prosecco showcasing the quality of food and service on offer.

The space itself had been styled in such a way that it was easy to see how the space could be used for a small conference or alternatively a wedding. The recent trend of a doughnut wall was on display and I think it’s fair to say that it wasn’t much of a wall by the end of the evening.

The flower wall was so pretty and proved to be an ideal spot to pose for that Instagram photo, a professional photographer was on hand @madmoonmat but I’m never keen on photos of myself, but I’ll share with you to see what you think.

On Sunday to coincide with the Christchurch Food Festival the staff from Kings had organised entertainment on the green in front of the pavilion, it’s a beautiful spot and the weather made wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves. Weddings can take place in the pavilion and on Sunday it was open for everyone to see and serving a really good value afternoon tea. If you are planning a wedding in the near future it really is a lovely venue and one I would recommend locally.

The Kings Pavilion is offering Sunday afternoon tea parties on 5th & 26th August and 23rd September, the cost is £15.50 pp and includes live music, garden games and local acts. Bookings can be made by calling 01202 588933 or email events@harbourhotels.co.uk.

All opinions and photos are my own., (except the one of me).
